Leadership and Mentorship

Our program combines classroom learning with mentorship from trained role models to help students develop essential leadership skills. It emphasizes discovering leadership potential, improving communication, fostering teamwork, and strengthening critical thinking. Students also learn conflict resolution and contribute positively through community service. We believe this approach will reduce disciplinary incidents and highlight that leadership is about growth, responsibility, kindness, and supporting others within the community. Overall, we have a structured program that enhances communication, teamwork, and self-advocacy through culturally responsive leadership training and personalized mentoring.

Entrepreneurship Program

This program empowers students with an entrepreneurial mindset, encouraging them to think creatively about business ideas and ways to build generational wealth. Through hands-on training, students learn key skills such as entrepreneurship basics, market research and planning, product development, marketing strategies, and effective sales techniques. Additionally, they gain practical experience by pitching business ideas to local businesses in a dynamic “Shark Tank” setting, fostering confidence and innovation.

Skill-Building Workshops

Weekly workshops focus on communication, teamwork, and goal-setting through interactive group activities. These sessions provide a structured environment where students can build self-confidence and resilience. Research shows that skill-building activities in structured after-school programs significantly reduce behavioral issues, leading to fewer disciplinary actions and increased student engagement.
